I've been an accountant since the late 80's with over 20 years experience, primarily in service industries, both publicly and privately held companies. I'm a CPA with an MBA from the University of Baltimore. In 2013 I obtained the IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) certificate.

I'm a member of the AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants), and the MACPA (Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants).

I enjoy movies, reading, visiting zoos, hiking, camping, tandem skydiving, snorkeling, traveling all over the world and experiencing many great thrills. I have no children, but have enjoyed the company of many pets over the years...not to mention all the amazing animals I've cared for at the zoo,

I believe in giving back to the community in many aspects. While attending middle school I worked at as a Candy Striper at a local city hospital. In fact, it was the hospital where I was born. In college I volunteered to tutor a visually impaired student in many finance related classes. I'm proud to say he graduated with honors. At a former employer I volunteered to give time at a community food kitchen for the homeless and under-employed. It was sad and heartwarming at the same time. For 15 years I worked as a Volunteer Zoo Keeper Aide at the local zoo in Baltimore City, as well as, donated money to fund various projects each year. The time spent at the Zoo was my all-time favorite experiences.   It was, by far, the most fascinating part of my life...thus far.

I currently work full-time for a company I enjoy and have no plans to leave, but find many hours where I long to use my skills to help others from the comfort of home. In this new phase of my life I've decided to start my side company to assist individuals and small business owners. My current client base consist of non-profits, web designers, a wellness center, a property developer, a law firm, and a social media consultant.   Most clients are on Quick Books and Xero, but I'm familiar with Peachtree and Great Plains as well.

The economy needs those with the entrepreneur spirit and I'm here to help their spirit soar.

IN THE COMMUNITY

Hot Rock Haven introKris Bowling is much like a lion herself. She has sharp ears, a watchful eye, and a great spirit. She is among the Zoo's most devoted volunteers, having given more than 3,162 hours over the past 14 years to make this a better place for visitors and animals alike.

“Kris has been generous to the Zoo in so many ways,” stated Don Hutchinson, president/CEO of The Maryland Zoo. “Her capital donations have been helpful not only to the animals, but have in turn made the keepers’ jobs easier.   And of course, you can’t put a price tag on her fifteen years of service as a Volunteer here at the Zoo.”
